The Jingle Belles
Evocative of Norman Rockwell and pure Americana, The Jingle Belles perform holiday favorites in a traditional accapella format. Performing without accompaniment or amplification, these three ladies are a charming compliment to any holiday event in nearly any venue, large or small.
Kate Abreo, Tara Brewer and Debbie Davis craft spirited and nuanced harmonies, breathing new life into holiday songs that have stood the test of time. Their collective experience and knowledge as career professionals in theater and music lends itself to polished and professional performances. Tara Brewer has been singing and dancing for over 20 years and teaching throughout the state of Louisiana for more than 10 years. She is a former dance and musical theatre faculty member at NOCCA/ Riverfront and currently owns and directs her own dance studio, The Dance Project, in Slidell. Tara studied as a dance major at the University of Louisiana and University of Southern Mississippi and is also a former New Orleans "SaintSation."
Tara's vocal performance credits include The National WWII Museum's Victory Belles, the original recording of Nine Lives by Paul Sanchez and Coleman DeKay, HBO's critically acclaimed series, TREME, and numerous musical theatre productions at the Historic Le Petite Theatre and other theater venues in New Orleans
A singer/actress, Kate earned her B.A. from the University of New Orleans and her Masters at Loyola where she studied voice with well-known classical vocalist, Ellen Frohnmayer and New Orleans jazz proficient, Leah Chase. In addition to performing in various musicals in the New Orleans area, Kate has also been a featured performer at the Walt Disney World Resort, Disney Cruise Lines and the Disney edition of Good Morning America. Kate is an esteemed alumnus of the highly acclaimed WWII Museum’s Victory Belles and a proud member of the Actor’s Equity Association. Kate can be seen locally singing everything from classical music to rock and roll cover music with New Orleans party-band, Crescent City Soul as well as her own special event group, Band of Gold.
The product of a musical family, Debbie Davis has made herself as a vital part of the jazz scene that dominates New Orleans. Nominated for Best Female Performer by Offbeat Magazine, Debbie has recorded and performed with a who's-who of New Orleans musical luminaries spanning the spectrum from John Bouttè, Susan Cowsill and Paul Sanchez to The Dukes of Dixieland, Irma Thomas and Alex McMurray. Debbie was featured on HBO's critically acclaimed series, TREME, playing herself and appears on the Grammy-winning season 1 soundtrack.
Debbie can be seen locally and nationally with pianist, Josh Paxton, and her quartet, Debbie Davis and the Mesmerizers.
